What is the difference between a climate and non-climate storage unit?

Our climate-controlled units are kept at a steady 75 degrees year-round, perfect for furniture, electronics, and household items. Non-climate units are great for garage items and heavy belongings that don’t need temperature control.

Do you offer RV, boat, car, or motorcycle storage?

No, we specialize in household goods storage. Unfortunately, we don't offer storage for vehicles at this time.

How do I know what storage size & height I need?

Are there any items that are not allowed to be stored?

The following items are not authorized to be stored within My Storage Ark:

  • Firearms and ammunition
  • Food and perishable items
  • Hazardous or flammable materials
  • Living (and deceased) items
  • Stolen or illegal goods
  • Money and extremely valuable items
What are the office & access hours for My Storage Ark?

Office Hours:

Monday-Friday: 9am-5pm

Saturday: 9am-3pm

Sunday: Closed

Access Hours:

Everyday: 6am-10pm 

What is a "smart" unit & how do they work?

Our "smart” units feature advanced self-storage technology. With a Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, tenants can unlock their units. Our "smart" units also have thermal-motion sensors for added security, alerting you and us to any unusual activity.

What security features does My Storage Ark have?

Security is our #1 priority! We have 360-degree surveillance, license plate detection, 4K face cameras, active deterrence, well-lit facilities, and smart locks that notify us of any unusual activity inside units.

Does My Storage Ark offer insurance?

Yes, we offer affordable third-party insurance/protection plans. Alternatively, we accept homeowner's or renter's insurance; just provide the declarations page during rental.

Do you sell packing supplies?

Certainly! Visit our leasing office for a variety of moving and packing supplies. Check our packing supplies page for the available items.

Do you have moving carts available?

Yes, there are 2 moving carts in the main hallway for tenant use. Please return them to the main hallway when finished.

How far in advance can I reserve a unit?

You can reserve a unit for free up to 7 days in advance. For longer reservations, just get in touch, and we can discuss the details.

Do I have to sign a lease?

Yes, we require a month-to-month storage rental agreement at My Storage Ark.

When is my rent due?

Your rent is due on the same day each month as your rental start date. Refer to your rental agreement for the specific billing date.

Are there any other monthly fees besides rent?

No, besides monthly rent, the only additional fee is for third-party insurance if you're not using your own policy. We don't have admin or reservation fees!

Do I need to purchase a lock for my unit?

No need! All our units come with an electronic "smart lock" accessible through our mobile app. No extra purchases required.

How do I access the facility?

Access is easy via our mobile app on your iPhone or Android device. Set up an account, and you can unlock gates, doors, and your storage unit(s). If you can't use a smartphone, contact us, and we'll set you up with a key FOB.

What is the process for moving out?

Let us know your move-out date ASAP. Empty your unit, inform the storage manager, and we'll remove you from our system. Billing stops once you've vacated the unit and have let the storage manager know.

How do I make a payment?

You have several options:

  • Pay Online: Log into your online account and make a payment.
  • Pay By Phone: Call us to pay with a credit/debit card.
  • Pay by Check: Mail your payment to 13219 Theis Ln, Tomball, TX 77375.
  • Pay In-Person: Visit our office and pay with cash, check, or card.
  • Auto-Pay: Enroll in auto-pay in-store, over the phone, or via the online bill pay portal.
Can I pay my bill online?

Absolutely! Visit our website, click on Bill Pay, log in or create an account, and use the online portal to pay for your storage units.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept cash, personal checks, ACH Bank Transfers, and major debit/credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover).

How do I set up automatic payment?

You can set up auto-pay online, over the phone, or in-person. Choose the method that suits you best for hassle-free payments.

What happens if I'm late making a payment?

If your payment is late, you'll be temporarily locked out until full payment is made. A $10 late fee is applied if payment isn't received by the 5th day after the due date. An additional $20 late fee is applied if payment isn't made by the 20th day after the due date.

How do I set up my online account?

Setting up your account is easy:

  • Claim your online account here
  • Enter your phone number and storage unit number
  • Provide your email and create a password
  • Click 'Claim Account' and you'll be redirected to the bill pay portal.

How do I update my information online?

To update your details, log in to the portal. Click the profile icon in the top-right corner, select 'Update Your Info’, make the necessary changes, and don't forget to click 'Save Changes' before leaving.

Do you have an emergency after-hours number?

Yes, in case of emergencies outside of our normal office hours, call (832) 742-7523.

What if I get locked inside the gate after-hours?

Call (832) 742-7523 to reach a facility manager who can remotely open the exit gate for you.

I can't access the gate / door / storage unit!

Ensure your Bluetooth is enabled for the mobile app. For issues, contact our facility manager at (832) 422-1350 during office hours. For after-hours problems, call (832) 742-7523.

I can't login to the mobile app!

During office hours, contact our facility manager at (832) 422-1350 for assistance and troubleshooting.

What if the storage unit "smart lock" light won't turn on?

It might need a new battery. Reach out to our facility manager at (832) 422-1350 for assistance.
